A sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of Thymidine kinase 2 (mitochondrial) in Human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
Phosphorylates thymidine, deoxycytidine, and deoxyuridine in the mitochondrial matrix. In non-replicating cells, where cytosolic dNTP synthesis is down-regulated, mtDNA synthesis depends solely on TK2 and DGUOK. Widely used as target of antiviral and chemotherapeutic agents. 96Trace’s TK2 ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of human TK2 in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of color is proportional to the amount of human TK2 captured from the samples.
