A sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha (DNase II alpha) in Plasma,Serum,Tissue lysate,Other biological fluids.
Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha hydrolyzes DNA under acidic conditions with a preference for double-stranded DNA. It plays a major role in the degradation of nuclear DNA in cellular apoptosis during development. DNase II alpha is necessary for proper fetal development and for definitive erythropoiesis in fetal liver, where it degrades nuclear DNA expelled from erythroid precursor cells. 96Trace's Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha (DNase II alpha) (Human) ELISA Kit is based on the Sandwich ELISA Principle. A 96-well plate was coated with a capture antibody and the biotin conjugated antibody was used as detection antibody. The standards, test samples, and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding the acidic stop solution. The density of color is proportional to the amount of DNase II alpha captured from the samples.
