TRC-00064 | AMH (Human) ELISA Kit | 96 Well

Product Overview

A Sandwich ELISA kit for quantitative measurement of anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) in human serum and plasma samples

Cystine/glutamate transporter (SLC7A11) is a multi-pass transmembrane protein that belongs to the heterodimeric sodium independent anionic amino acid transport system Xc-. It is expressed in the brain, spinal cord, gliomas, and pancreas. This antiporter protein is highly specific for cysteine and glutamate; it imports cysteine and exports glutamate in a 1:1 ratio. SLC7A11-mediated entry of extracellular cystine is critical for maintaining intracellular levels of cysteine and GSH, which helps promote cell survival. Deprivation or absence of cystine causes the accumulation of toxic lipid hydroperoxides in the cell membrane and leads to iron-dependent cell death called ferroptosis. SLC7A11 plays a critical role in tumor development. It is frequently overexpressed or upregulated in a variety of cancers. SLC7A11 detoxifies lipid peroxides and suppresses ferroptosis, and thereby contributes to the growth of the tumors. Ablation or downregulation of SLC7A11 disrupts glutamate signaling that in turn may cause disorders such as seizures, Schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and ALS. 96Trace’s SLC7A11 (Human) ELISA kit quantitatively measures SLC7A11 in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added to the plate, and post-incubation any unattached conjugates are washed off by Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected by the addition of TMB-substrate. Finally, the reaction is terminated with an acidic stop solution. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of SLC7A11 in the sample or standard.
