4-Hydroxynonenal (4-HNE) ELISA Kit
Size: 96 Well
Application: Oxidative stress and damage biomarker research.
A competitive ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of 4-Hydroxynonenal in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids
4-hydroxynonenal (4-HNE) is a lipid peroxidation product derived from oxidized ω-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids such as arachidonic acid. 4-HNE is widely used as a marker of lipid peroxidation. It is also in higher quantities during oxidative stress due to the increase in the lipid peroxidation chain reaction. It exhibits various biological activities such as cytotoxicity, growth inhibiting activity, genotoxicity, and chemotactic activity. It also inhibits Sirtuin 3 (SIRT3) via thiol-specific modification. 96Trace’s 4-Hydroxynonenal ELISA kit is a competitive ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of 4-HNE in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of color is proportional to the amount of 4-HNE captured from the samples.
