Lincomycin is an antibiotic produced by Streptomyces lincolnensis. It is effective against gram-positive bacteria. It is used to treat severe bacterial infections in patients who cannot use penicillin antibiotics. Standard techniques/instruments (HPLC or GC-MS) are utilized to detect Lincomycin.
