Procollagen II (PCII) (Human) ELISA Kit
Size: 96 Well
Application: Bone, cartilage and extracellular matrix research.
A sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of Procollagen II (PCII) in Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
Collagen is the main structural protein in the extracellular space in the various connective tissues in animal bodies. Collagen consists of amino acids wound together to form triple-helices to form of elongated fibrils. It is mostly found in fibrous tissues such as tendons, ligaments and skin. So far, 28 types of collagen have been identified and described. They can be divided into several groups according to the structure they form. Collagen-related diseases most commonly arise from genetic defects or nutritional deficiencies that affect the biosynthesis, assembly, postranslational modification, secretion, or other processes involved in normal collagen production. 96Trace’s PCII ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of PCII in Human serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of color is proportional to the amount of PCII captured from the samples.
