HB-EGF (Human) ELISA Kit
Size: 96 Well
Application: Cancer, apoptosis and cell signaling research.
A sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of HB-EGF in Human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
Proheparin-binding EGF-like growth factor (HB-EGF) is a growth factor that mediates its effects via EGFR, ERBB2 and ERBB4. Required for normal cardiac valve formation and normal heart function. Promotes smooth muscle cell proliferation. May be involved in macrophage-mediated cellular proliferation. It is mitogenic for fibroblasts, but not endothelial cells. It is able to bind EGF receptor/EGFR with higher affinity than EGF itself and is a far more potent mitogen for smooth muscle cells than EGF. Also acts as a diphtheria toxin receptor. 96Trace’s HB-EGF ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of human HB-EGF in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of color is proportional to the amount of human HB-EGF captured from the samples.
