TRC-00696 | RORC (Human) ELISA Kit | 96 Well

Product Overview

A Sandwich ELISA kit for quantitative measurement of RORC in human serum, plasma, tissue lysates, and other biological fluids

RAR-related Orphan Receptor C (RORC, RORG) is a DNA binding transcription factor that belongs to the retinoic acid-related orphan receptor (ROR) family that includes ROR alpha and ROR beta. RORC is expressed in several tissues such as the liver, lung, kidney, thymus, heart, and muscle. The mRNA expression of RORC is either circadian (in liver and kidney) or constitutive (in muscles). Some of the major functions of RORC are to mediate the differentiation of Th17 cells, develop lymph nodes, regulate glucose/lipid metabolism, adipocyte differentiation, and insulin sensitivity. RORC also regulates circadian rhythms. It competes with NR1D1 (Rev-ErbA) for binding to the ROR elements (ROREs) in the Bmal1 promoter and positively regulates Bmal1 transcription. Some RORC agonists (LYC-55716 and INV-71) are currently under investigation as novel immunotherapeutic agents to treat various cancers. 96Trace’s RORC (Human) ELISA kit quantitatively measures RORC in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added to the plate, and post-incubation any unattached conjugates are washed off by Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of RORC in the sample or standard.
