MMP-1 (Human) ELISA Kit
Size: 96 Well
Application: Cancer, apoptosis and cell signaling research.
A sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of MMP-1 in Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
Matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1), also known as collagenase-1, fibroblast collagenase, and interstitial collagenase belong to the family of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Cells that express MMP-1 include macrophages, monocytes, keratinocytes, and fibroblasts. These endopeptidases can breakdown extracellular matrices as well as interstitial collagen types I, II, III. MMP-1 plays a significant role in diseases such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, fibrotic and cardiovascular diseases and thus could serve as a therapeutic target in the treatment of human diseases. 96Trace’s MMP-1 (Human) ELISA kit is based on the Sandwich ELISA principle to quantitatively measure the amount of MMP-1 in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. The HRP-Streptavidin is added and any unattached conjugates are washed off using Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected by the addition of TMB-substrate. Finally, the reaction is terminated with an acidic stop solution. The color developed is proportional to the amount of MMP-1 in the sample or standard.
